Hi all,

I currently stream other games with 0 issues. League of Legends performs fantastically, but when I try and stream CSGO it is super pixelated. Was wondering if I could get a recommendation on some settings.

Speedtest: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4720373216

Current Setup:

CPU: AMD FX(tm) 8350
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
RAM: 16g
Motherboard: MSI 970

OBS Settings
Bitrate/Buffer: 2500 (Use CBR selected)
Video: 1920x1080 60fps // Lanczos // Disable Aero selected
Advanced: Process Priority Class - Above Normal // Scene Buffering Time 700
Advanced Video: x264 CPU preset - Ultrafast // Encoding Main // Keyframe Interval 2

First of all, lower that to 1280x720 by using scaling, as 1080p 60fps will reduce the amount of people who can view your stream.

CS:GO has a lot going on screen so it's as good as you can go with 2500 bitrate.

The only "solutions" would be to lower the encoder or raise the bitrate.

Okay thanks! When you say "lower the encoder" which part exactly are you talking about?

The part where you choose the Encoder Preset, ie, Veryfast, Faster, Fast.

The "slower" it is, the more pixels will "fit" in the same bitrate, making the quality better without changing the bitrate.

It is however very demanding on the CPU and the quality change isn't that big.
