Hi.
I started streaming recently, and I seek advice to optimize it. My computer is quite in the low end, and since I am not a technical guy, I am not really sure how to get the most out of my settings I can:
My specs:
CPU: i5-4460 (4 x 3.2 GHz) 8 gb ram (2133 mhz) Nvidia GTX 750
Internet connection: 90 mb download, 30 mb upload
My obs settings:
Max bitrate: 3000 kb/s, buffer size 3000
Video: Resolution downscale (1280x720), Lanczos (best detail, 36 samples)
FPS: 60
Advanced:
Priority Class: Normal
x264 CPU preset - veryfast
Encoding profile: main
I use game capture, and all my settings ingame is LOW + 1600x900 resolution.
I have 300 fps (capped) when not streaming, and I have about 180 when streaming with a few drops now and then (making it feel not smooth).
I feel like my stream looks nice, but it definitely slows down my game a bit. Have I configured it right, or do I need to go buy a new cpu to hit 200+ fps? :)
My kindest regards,
Sekret
