Question / Help CS:GO Skipping While Streaming

Every time I try to stream on twitch.tv with OBS my game has tiny little skips and it drives me nuts, the game used to crackle as well but since I put a sound card in it stopped but the game continues to skip. I play other games on my stream like Rust, League of legends and H1Z1 but none skip like CS does, its super weird and annoying. I sit at around 200 fps while streaming and it only gets as low as like 150, but when it skips its quickly dropping fps and going back up. The skip is so tiny and fast but it messes your game up a lot.

You are using game capture to capture csgo, right?
Anyway, you could try limiting the fps of CSGO, it tends to use a lot of cpu power if you don't limit it.
 
Yeah I tried max_fps 120, I think I may have fixed it by changing the encoder to Nvidia NVENC. Cross me fingers!

Well NVENC uses a special chip on your NVIDIA card to encode, it's worse quality, but relieves stress from your CPU.
 
I used to have a similar issue when I first got my new desktop around November. I somehow fixed it by uninstalling GeForce Experience. If you don't use ShadowPlay or have an Nvidia Shield, I'd try uninstalling it to see if it does anything.

Do you also have snd_mixahead set to 0.05 in CS:GO? If so, revert it back to the default '0.1'. That might be the cause of your audio crackling/stutters in game.
