Question / Help CS:GO Crashing after OBS crashes

Hello everyone, I am fairly new to OBS but this issue I'm having seems obscure. I was streaming on Twitch using OBS and the encoding message came up and OBS crashed (I figure it was because my bitrate was set high). That is not the issue, now even if OBS is not running, my CS:GO crashes whenever I exit to the main menu from a server. I have tried resetting my cache and cannot find a solution. This happened before using OBS but the matter straightened itself out after restarting a few times. The problem now is not going away and I am positive OBS is responsible for why this problem occurs but now that it isn't even running I'm wondering how it is bugging my game. If it does fix, however, I am scared that OBS may crash again and my CS:GO will then start bugging out when I just want to play and not stream. Thanks in advance for any advice given!

If you're using game capture and the game itself crashes, it typically means either one of two things: 1.) that you have a conflicting hook program open (other capture programs, overlay programs, graphics mod programs), or 2.) your system is experiencing instability.

If you want to continue to use those other conflicting programs, you can always choose to run the game in borderless mode and then capture with window capture instead.
