Question / Help Crashing while recording Halo 5 Forge PC

So I was trying to record some Halo 5 Forge for PC, and after ~15 minutes of recording, my PC seems to freeze for a couple seconds, my screens go black, the game crashes, and then OBS crashes.
This happened twice. The first time, my main screen stayed black, and Windows 10 went to a sort of "pre-Aero" theme (which I was unaware it could even do), and I had to restart.
The second time, the game just closed after the freeze, and obs showed a crash message. My PC was fine after that.

I've played a good ~6-7 hours of the game without recording, no problems.
I even streamed the game for about an hour with OBS, no problems.
I've never had this occur with any game before, either, even games that more or less maxed out my cpu/gpu (GTA V, BF1)

I'm using Windows 10 Anniversary Update (because that's the version needed to play Forge), and these are my specs:
FX-6300 4.3ghz OC (is stable, max temp whilst recording was 61c)
16gb DDR3 1600mhz
R9 270x 2gb (Slightly overclocked, +50mhz from default clock speed of 1100mhz, no OC on memory at 1400mhz. Max temp was 77c)
850 EVO 250gb SSD (Windows, a few programs)
1tb WD Blue HDD (Halo 5 Forge, everything else)
500gb WD Something HDD (Solely for recording to)
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P MOBO
500w EVGA Bronze PSU

I'm using the AMD VCE codec to record, which is why I'm on an older version.
I'm using desktop capture, because Windows store games aren't captured by game capture (AFAIK)
I was recording in 720p60, and my screen is 1920x1080
