crashes spontaneously and I can't seem to find the trigger. They started happening about two days ago on the 16th and I've tried looking for a fix but can't find one with my limited knowledge.

Check if the plugins you are using/have installed are updated and if they are compatible with OBS 27.2.3

Yes, I am still having this issue as well. It was working fine for me a while ago but suddenly, every time I open Elden ring within 2 minutes OBS crashes, my game crashes, and then sometimes my whole PC crashes. twitch studio works fine for me but OBS and SLOBS crash no matter what I do. I have uninstalled and reinstalled and it's still given me problems. OBS is not logging crash reports either so I can't give out any other information sorry! Please I would love some help fixing this issue as well.

Exact the same thing, it's this what happens?:
- preview freeze and stream stops?

With elden Ring I had this to, do you have this also with battlefield 2042?

@WizardCM could you please redirect that to devs because I have already give advice on multiple support platforms but for them there is no problem...

I usually end up crashing even before I can start streaming! OBS seems to not be able to read Elden Ring with the game capture setting for some reason and the screen is black even though Elden ring will show in the properties menu of game capture. display capture works just fine.
I've also managed to get a crash report this time, so hopefully, that helps although I'm unsure of what it means.

This crash is in the source record plugin, all other issues in this thread so far are not the same issue in any way.

so, i somehow got OBS to cooperate with me for a few hours by only using game capture and not enabling any other capture systems, until I did enable screen capture. this is when OBS crashed again and then my entire PC shut off from the crash. upon starting it up, my computer will no longer read my second monitor because it apparently needs the drivers reinstalled. i managed to get a crash log.

If there is software updates available for webcams and capture cards you have installed, install those updates.
That's about it
