Question / Help CPU load while streaming

So, im streaming with OBS @ 720p and streaming mostly Battlefield 3 at everything at low etc.. and my cpu manage to use 99-100% load while streaming, is that normal for i5 3570k oc to 4.1 ?

Impossible to say without a log file that shows all your system info and settings.

It's normal for BF3 to use nearly that much CPU power on its own, even without streaming.

are you watching your own stream at the same time?

The log file says OBS is running great, at least. Perhaps both streaming and playing BF3 at the same time is just using most of your CPU?

Why would you say it's really bad? The i5-3570k is no slouch by any means. It's a fairly new processor, only one generation behind at this point. Maybe you have a lemon?

Move your preset up one notch faster and that will make a big difference in lessening the CPU load at the cost of a lower-quality stream.
