Question / Help Could not initialize DirectX 10?

i have a windows 7 laptop with intel core i5 and Intel(R) HD Graphics, and i have directx11, but when i try to start recording on OBS it gives me the message : "Could not initialize DirectX10 on Intel(R) HD Graphics" im not sure what is causing this or how to fix it, any help is aprecciated.

Your GPU lacks DX10 support so you cannot use OBS. You might have some luck with the OBS MP test.

oh ok thats unfortunate, just curious how am i able to support directx11 but not 10?

dx is backwards compatible so it should run it
you could try installing 10 manually or go download 11 again and try a repair
