Question / Help Could not connect to server?

Hey Everyone, just today I get this error message right when I hit start streaming.

your bitrate is borderline to low as well so if twitch thinks your connection is dead, they could kill it. :/ dont quote me on that, but it is pretty low.
try this tool for your region and it will also tell you which servers are going to respond to you.

I think it is a server issue because I usually stream at a 1000 bitrate with very rare drop and I have to stream at 600 even 400 to not drop frames
 
switch to Dallas as said above and use 700 bitrate, lower your resolution downscale to 480p@30, set audio bitrate to 64kbps (because that is in addition to your max bitrate). Lastly, set scene buffering to 700ms or higher (700ms should be fine for most)

Over time, you could tweak it up, but I wouldn't unless you get your ISP to give you more upload speed.
