Question / Help Could not access channel error

Good morning,

We recently upgraded our media server to Wowza 4.0.1, and now require authentication for streamers. My every attempt to test the stream from OBS has failed. At first it appeared to just be an authentication issue, so I followed the instructions here: http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6025&p=36339&hilit=pubUser+puPasswd#p36339 and added my username and password to the profile .ini file. After that the error no longer complained of lacking login credentials, but still had an error (photo is attached, as is the log file). I searched the forums and found this post: http://obsproject.com/forum/viewtop...=could+not+access+the+specified+stream#p42285 where R1CH says, "RTMP authentication support is missing from the 64 bit build of OBS" (I am using Windows 8, 64-bit). I checked the changelog and this issue was fixed in patch 0.59 on 2013-12-11: Fixed RTMP authentication bug for 64bit OBS (r1ch).

Two other points of interest: 1) Our streaming server does not restrict users to preset stream keys at the moment, so that should make no difference, and 2) I can stream without a problem using the exact same settings in FML Encoder.

I do not care too much for streaming quality at the moment (though I wouldn't mind advice on that as well), right now I just want to get the stream to work.

Thanks in advance.

It seems OBS is being disconnected by the server (remote host closed connection), so you should examine your server logs for any errors.

We contacted wowza support and were told that the Flash Version String in settings needs to be updated to include OBS, but they don't know the exact value we need to enter since "the publisher OBS may not present itself 'OBS'". I tried it with OBS, OpenBroadcaster, and Open Broadcaster, and none of them worked. Do you know what the correct value to enter is?
Thank you.

You should tell them that I said that they have full permission to yell at me if something needs adjusting.
