Copying transition settings

Hi,

I am doing sports streamings and usually I made png lower thirds for the players, so I show those after a basket, faults etc. All of the lower thirds are animated (slide in/out).

My question is that is there any copying method which not only copying the size and the position of a source file (in this case a png file), but the transition settings too? Now I not only have to change name and the png file when I adding a new player (I copying an old one so I do not have to reposition every source again) but I have to set the show/hide transitions too one by one.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Altezza,

I'm also looking for a similar tool, as far as I know there's none.
But, you might be able to cheat it somehow.

I suggest you to have all the players' png in the same size, just the best way to deal with sizes issues in general.
So you have all of that in one folder, and in this same folder, you have 4 or more blank png's (idk how many you need to have for your layout).
Each time you change the players, you just keep the same file logged in OBS, but you change it via photoshop or any decent picture editor.
This way, png's are not related to the main image, but to a "slave" location.

This works with notepad aswell, so you just change the players name in the file named "Player 1", as you do with players' png
That being said, you'll struggle a bit if with letters, you must display a specific resolution for the notepad source, otherwise it won't look good.

Happy to help if needed, you can contact me on Discord Kourt#6353

Hi Kourt,

Thanks for your reply!
Unfortunately I have to keep all the opponent teams lineup (player lower thirds) all the time in the OBS, because during a season we play against a lot of teams, sometimes there are two games in one day. (U16-18 girls games).
So what I do now is I made all the lower thirds, save the source files in a folder by team in OBS sources, and I set all actions in Touch Portal for every team. So in this case I only have to change the opponent teams in Touch Portal.
I guess it is a kind of your solution.

It is a "one man show" broadcast, using 3-5 cameras, Atem mini, Touch Portal etc.

This is how it looks (It is the Hungarian youth national league) :

Damn man you nailed it ! Looks awesome !

If you've found a decent solution, stay with it ^^
There're so many different ways to do the same thing now with plugins.

You spoke about lower thirds before, there is (was) a plugin for that too, but idk why it doesn't work on W10 neither on W11..
Such a shame, would've been an awesome thing to get on stream..
