Question / Help Constant lag even out of game (log included)

Also, forgot to mention, if you are going to say disable Aero, please provide instructions or a link to instructions for how to disable it, as I have looked everywhere for said instructions.

What pci-e mode is the video card in?

Aero-related instructions aren't relevant in windows 10.

Number of skipped frames due to encoding lag: 9153 (60.5%)

Your underpowered CPU is taking a big dump trying to encode 1680x1050 at 60 FPS. Use NVENC.

I will try using NVENC and will post back if it was successful or not. Thanks for the reply!

After enabling NVENC and doing a test recording, I still get major lag throughout my entire system. Will I need to buy a new CPU?

Running a game without vertical sync or a frame rate limiter will frequently cause performance issues with OBS because your GPU will be maxed out. Enable vsync or set a reasonable frame rate limit that your GPU can handle without hitting 100% usage. If that's not enough you may also need to turn down some of the video quality options in the game.

In game I have put every setting to the lowest possible, but have vsync disabled. I will enable it and update whether it worked or not.

If you're getting 250-400 FPS you don't have vsync enabled. If you're running in borderless windowed mode try using the fps_max cvar instead.

when im not running obs i get that much fps. when running obs my entire system is very slow. believe me, i cringe as i say this, but i get more success with XSplit. Vsync is triple buffered

If vsync was working it would be capping the game's FPS to your monitor's refresh rate. I'm pretty certain you don't have a 400 Hz monitor.
