Question / Help Constant fuzzy sound even when mic is muted.

So I constantly have a fuzzy background noise. I don't have a great mic by any means but it seems odd that it would be constantly fuzzy. Any help sorting it would be appreciated. I have no mic boost on and when I adjust the levels I just get quieter and the fuzz seems about the same. I guess it may just be due to using a headset mic as opposed to a high quality standalone mic.

Try using the Mic DSP Plugin:

OBS normally takes the mic input as-given, without any processing. Causes a lot of lower-quality mics to show noise that stuff like Skype/TS/etc filter out. The plugin above applies the same kind of filtering those other programs use.

I actually just got it figured out. I reformatted not too long ago and forgot to install my audio drivers. There is a noise suppression option in the realtek sound manager that fixed it all. Just found it a few minutes ago. If it continues to happen while I stream i'll try that plugin for sure. Thank you for the reply.
