Hello,

I have created this account to hopefully solve my issues while using OBS. I love the program, and have been using it for a long time, however I have recently run into some interesting issues. These issues are causing harm to my Work life as well as my personal Gaming life.

Computer/Hardware Details
  • Windows 7 Home Premium
  • Intel Core i7-3930K 3.20GHz processor
  • 16GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB Video Card
  • Razer Kraken 7.1 Headset (Uses Virtual Sound in Razer Synapse 2.0)
Network/ISP Details
  • Xfinity Blast Internet
    • ~55Mb Download
    • ~10Mb Upload
  • Router
    • Motorola SBG6580
    • Computer Connected via Ethernet Cable (Cat5e)
Issue Encountered
  • Stream runs good for 10-20mins
    • Frames will drop & then the network will seemingly cut out on OBS causing the Stream to Crash
    • After the crash it attempts to reconnect
  • Just looking for a Solid Stream
    • My Internet does not crash when OBS crashes
      • Seems as though OBS is just dropping the network
    • Not sure what has been causing this issue
      • Went through settings & re-tweaked multiple times
      • Called Comcast & Had them Troubleshoot
        • Also had a Tech double check the lines
Programs Run with OBS Open
  • TeamSpeak
  • Spotify/Pandora
    • Snip (To allow users to see what I am listening to)
  • Streamtip Alerter
  • Razer Synapse 2.0
  • Steam
  • Norton Antivirus
Please someone help me out, I have been dealing with this issue consistently for the past month and I feel dead in the water. Am I the only one out there experiencing this problem?

I just finished going through the entire troubleshooting list, and I am still experiencing similar disconnects.

It does not even show that my network drops on the OBS interface. It just instantly disconnects.

The one thing I do notice is that it seems to pulse between Green & Orange on the Square in the bottom right every couple seconds but I stay around 3000 the entire time.

Then when I try to analyze my log I get the error

The log analyzer is unavailable in the current version. If you've tried all the advice in the thread then you'll need to contact your service provider for further help as that thread really does contain all the advice we can give. Changing the bit version will not affect network connectivity.

I've already contacted my ISP and that is why I came onto this forum? I had a tech come out and double checked everything.
