Question / Help Constant buffering and lag in stream

Hey,

I know this thread is a pretty standard one but I can´t figure out whats wrong with my stream... Tonight I hosted our regular e-sport show on Twitch and people complained about lag and buffering. It feels like I have tried most standard solutions.

-Lowering my bitrate
-Changing server at Twitch
-Upgraded my connection

Current download and upload speed 250/50

I have tried swapping between monitor and window capture but it havnt really done any difference.

My specs:
i5 2500k
8gb RAM
Windows home premium 7 64 bit

I tried the analyzer and estimator but everything seamed fine there.

I know this is a common issue it seams but I just hate that the show suffers from the lag.

Would love some tips and help.

The "buffering" messages indicate a bandwidth issue between a viewer and Twitch, the viewer isn't able to get data from Twitch as fast as you're sending it out. All you can do to help alleviate the problem is lower your bitrate.

But at what costs? How much should I lower it to be "smooth" tried 2,5k but then I just hit the same issue :/.

Currently just logged onto WoW to run around and feel if there were any spikes and getting a lot of em. No buffering but spikes. Trying 2,5k atm as said.

At the cost of video quality, as you would expect when lowering bitrate. There is no magic bitrate where everything becomes smooth for everyone, because everyone is using a different internet connection to get data from Twitch. Just because one person gets buffering while trying to watch doesn't mean someone else will.
