Question / Help Console Streaming questions

Hi, I have a HDPVR1 and am now looking at upgrading due to the poorness of the USB 2.0 etc. I'm fine with PC streaming, but for the times I want to stream console I need a new capture card, I've been looking at the Extremecap U3 as for a 3.0 device it's very well priced, is OBS able to run it well or are there numerous known problems that arise with that capture card? I've checked all my specs, and my 3.0 drive it should all run smoothly, but I have also read a few negative reviews on the card. If not, what are some other recommendations. I have looked at the products on solarisjapan and whilst they look good they're potentially a little out of my price range, although if the worst comes to worst I'll stretch my budget and purchase one, if they're that good. Apologies in advance if this has been answered various times or anything. Thankyou.

EDIT: I'm very drawn in by the Live Gamer HD Lite, due to its price, and many people saying it's almost the same as the Live Gamer HD just without a few things that are fairly unnecessary anyways, anyone have experience with this card, what's it like? Thankyou.

You should go better with an pci cap card. Ive used the u3 in the past, and it works ok after some modificstions. But i had to upgrade to an pci express usb 3.0 card to get the most power as possible to the cap card. My mobo specs says it should run smooth too, but it doesnt.

My known issues:
No stream/record in 1080p60fps with mobo usb slots due to power of the slots. Upgrade to usb 3.0 card fixed that. Use a usb 3.0 card with reneseas chip whould be the best chooise.
Obs crashes sometimes if i connect my webcam and the u3.
Picture flickering on obs. Tearing on obs.

My experience is, this issues causes from usb. A pci cap card should do a better job as an usb card.

The U3 has known problems. Stuttering, freezing, and crashing. Also have heard issues with the LGHD/LGHDL, though they're more minor.

Best capture card on the market at the moment for livestreaming is the Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI. Can buy it from SabrePC as the Yuan SC512 for $200. Miles better than Avermedia gear.
