Connection interruptions due to upload

Hi, I'm streaming on Twitch using OBS, and for the past few days, OBS has been intermittently dropping the connection. The internet connection doesn't drop out completely, I just see the upload speed turn red, and then the connection drops for a few seconds.

I'd be happy to upload my OBS log here.

1. Use TwitchTest to make sure you're connecting to the best server for your location.
2. Current bitrate 8000kbps exceeds max video bitrate limit 6000kbps. This may result in the streaming service not displaying the video from your stream or rejecting it entirely.
3. Your log contains streaming sessions with dropped frames. This can only be caused by a failure in your internet connection or your networking hardware. It is not caused by OBS. Before you start streaming, go to Settings > Advanced > Network > enable "Dynamically change bitrate....", [Apply], [OK].

If still having issues, follow the troubleshooting steps at: Dropped Frames and General Connection Issues.
4. Multiple Game Capture sources are usually not needed, and can sometimes interfere with each other (scenes 4 Hell Let loose, 6 War Thunder and LIVE). You can use the same Game Capture for all your games. If you change games often, try out the hotkey mode, which lets you press a key to select your active game. If you play games in fullscreen, use 'Capture any fullscreen application' mode.

If still having issues, post a new log.

Thx for the help
I'm starting to suspect the router.
It's a Speedport 7, the latest model from Telekom.
I'll keep testing and report back.
Oddly enough, the stream doesn't cut out when I'm streaming a multiplayer game.

Before you go nuts on the router, you may want to check your mobo's support page for updated network driver. The errors below are generally caused by bad EEE settings. Updating the driver should fix it.

14:48:10.970: [rtmp stream: 'adv_stream'] Interface: Realtek PCIe 2.5GbE Family Controller (ethernet, 1000↓/1000↑ mbps)
14:48:10.970: [rtmp stream: 'adv_stream'] Interface has non-zero error counters (0/37 errors, 3609/0 discards)

5:55:43.425: Output 'adv_stream': Number of dropped frames due to insufficient bandwidth/connection stalls: 860 (6.5%)

@rockbottom
Thanks, I'll check the motherboard website for the latest drivers. Should I do this manually, or could you perhaps recommend a tool that can update the drivers for me?

What exactly do you mean by EEE settings? The encoders?

@rockbottom
After two days of streaming without any problems, I experienced multiple dropouts again today (see log).
I updated the drivers, but I didn't uninstall the old ones; I just installed the new ones.
So I'll reinstall them and uninstall the old ones first.
I suppose there are no manual settings I can adjust on the Eee devices?

Zero error counters are gone & there's not any dropped frames in that log so that's progress. But, there appears to be some instability or lack of bandwidth causing disconnects.

@rockbottom
Yeah,
Could the problem be with the router itself?
Perhaps it's faulty, or is it due to one of its settings?
I'm using the brand new Telekom Speedport 7.

According to my router and speed test, I have an upload speed of up to 43.976 Mbps, which should be more than enough.
However, when I try streaming, Twitch still shows it as unstable.
Here is the test log.

Telekom is well-known in the ISP world for under provisioning their peering and trying to extort fees from upstreams for additional peering. Try a different ISP if you can.

@R1CH
Unfortunately, I can't switch providers quickly.

I've already read about the problems on Twitter; many people are reporting significant packet loss.
I might just have to live with it.

What surprises me is that I was able to stream without any problems for about two months, and this only started happening now.

Try using a lower bit-rate, something like 5500.
