Question / Help Connecting Sony HDV 1080i/miniDV

Hello, I am wanting to broadcast through a Sony HDV camera using OBS and was wondering if this was even possible. If it is, what cables and settings would I need in order for this to work? I realize how outdated this camera is, but it is the only option that I have. Thank you.

As a webcam or you're going to point your camcorder at the computer monitor?

If its recognized as a DirectShow device (FireWire cable?) it can probably be found by OBS and used, you can determine that by trying it and see if it works. I doubt anyone here has done it already, so its probably up to you to find out.

Yes, OBS recognizes it with some strange connection. 4-pin to 6-pin firewire, with 9-pin adapter. Works with a Belkin 6-way 6-pin splitter if multiple cameras are necessary.
