Im one of the neglected few that have the missfortune of having a hauppauge hd pvr and a laptop with two graphics cards, up untill the other day that ment i had to pay for xsplit as obs was a no go. My xsplit license about to expire i decided to see if obs had got around to support of the hd-pvr, sure enough when selecting it i got the "invalid resolution" error.
I begged and pleaded with a friend and got hold of a roxio game capture, obs could use it immidiatly but the quality of the roxio is terrible when your used to HD.
So on a whim i tried the window capture again and the hauppauge capture software (the one on thier site) well it didnt appear in the window drop down menu so that was a no go. But i thought...what about the old software...and sure enough it detected total media extreme and unlike last year (yep been waiting a year for hd-pvr support) instead of the preview window being a blank box it actualy showed the game! full screened it in total media and viola a clear image (actually clearer then xsplit) Im saved i cheered.
so then i went into the livestream settings and put in my twitch details, set up the local file settings and set up a private site streamer that me and a mate use when he wants to watch me game while we chat and dont want to livestream to the public.
all was good, the evil money hole that is xsplit had been vanquished, OBS had finaly been tammed to use my hd-pvr if in a rather wierd way. Then last night we went to do a livestream.. only when i switched the stream settings to twitch all my settings had gone! well we didnt want to faff about so decided might as well use the private streamer....only those settings were all gone too! seems its only renembering the last setup stream ! i dare not reinstall it as it may lose its ability to use my hd-pvr again and i have waited too long for that, but constantly having to re-enter the stream details when i swap and change between both streams and local recording (not to mention later when twitch gets anoying for us non partners i switch to hashd) is driving me up the wall
So my question, how do i fix this issue so it doesnt keep forgetting the settings as i swap between them?
