Question / Help Confusion with different Audio Devices

I am a total newbie to streaming and OBS. However, I had no issues setting up the streaming and video part except I have some issues with setting up the Audio:

a) even though my Audio is set to Desktop Audio Device: Default and Mic/Aux to my Logitech G35, you can hear everything going on around in the room on the stream. I even disabled the sound on the webcam so I am really confused where it's coming from.

b) when playing a game I use a third party software with event triggers which can be annoying. I would like to be able to hear these triggers but not include them in the stream (in game sound should be in the stream though as well as input from my mic).

I assume I need to use the DShow Audio Plugin as well as VAC? While I am quite ok with technical stuff, audio inputs and what goes where has always totally confused me.

Any help here would be much appreciated since googling for this didn't really help much due to me not understanding what's going on with my audio devices :)

You would have to use VAC to filter out the sounds you don't want.

Ah my bad, I thought in this case the log wasn't helpful. Thanks for looking into this for me :)

Ah my apologies, I should have stated specifically that it was a bad log file -- getting one via the help menu will ensure you get a proper log file, rather than an incomplete log file.

Ah boo. Totally forgot to do this - here we go.
Also, in my stream I can hear myself typing and using the mouse despite the input being set to my G35. So weird :/

I actually don't see a problem. It says you're using a mic, and it says you're capturing desktop sound, so everything sounds like it should be in order. If you don't want to capture your mic you should disable the mic in audio settings (or mute it). If you don't want to capture desktop sound you should mute it.

I admit I might be confused as to what exactly the problem is.

Here is an example (sorry about the sniffling, having a bad cold)
You can hear my typing, my mouse CLICKS and if my bf was there you could hear him sneeze in the bg. I don't get why that gets picked up even though my microphone is the only thing set to input. It surely can't be so sensitive though the headset?

Additionally I can't hear any of the game sound in the stream.

Ah. It's not unusual for any microphone to pick up background noise. The issue here that accentuates it is simply appears to be that your mic volume is a bit high. It definitely feels more loud than it should be.
