Question / Help Colours of My recordings are messed up!

So I used to use Fraps to record and the colours were fine, now I've started using obs because of the lower file size and the fact it's so easy to use and customisable.
The Problem, however, is that the colours always look really off and dull. But I am using a oldish Hard Drive, is that the cause of it? I am getting an SSD soon anyway, does anyone know if that will help/ affect the quality of my recordings?

OBS converts the colors to 4:2:0 format for streaming, while Fraps probably records in 4:4:4 or similar.

So why is it my videos recorded with Obs arn't as good as other people's videos?? Is it to do with my Hard Drive?

If you mean the general quality, that depends on your settings. Fraps will always record at fixed settings while OBS gives you a lot of options to change them. You could show us a log:

Well I've set my Obs to the settings recommended in the 2nd link. I'll edit this post once i've tested it
