Question / Help Color Depth Options? / 16Bit vs 32Bit

Hi there,

I'm currently trying to set up a very low-bitrate stream and have been experimenting with various settings and have been reading several guides and setup recommendations...

However there's one thing, I never really found useful information on: What about the Colour Depth?

Is there any option to control the colour depth in OBS?
I would really like to set this to 16Bit - but could not find an option to do so... And I am a bit skeptical about simply changing the Color Depth in Windows to 16Bit, because I fear that this might result in just dropping a lot of colour-information while the output of OBS might still be running in 32Bit...

Has anyone some information about this?
cheers

Sorry, but what you're talking about has absolutely nothing to do with your stream. The stream output is 12-bit YUV, you can't really go any lower than that.

OBS will never support 16-bit color in Windows, especially not seeing how even Microsoft has dropped support for 16-bit display modes in Windows 8.
