Run the game in a window and use window capture.
Launch the came and open the console and type in the following:
/r_fullscreen 0
/vid_restart
then the game should restart in a window and you can adjust resolution to suit window size (1600 x 900 on a 1080p screen isn't bad) and then OBS should easily window capture it.
