Question / Help CLR Browser creating crashes?

Hey guys, I've been helping out a friend setting up the follower alert setting for Twitch. After installing the CLRBrowser things aren't going so smoothly. Everytime we try to add a CLR browser to the sources OBS just crashes. Anyone know how to fix this? We have already tried a clean install of OBS.
OBS has encountered an unhandled exception and has terminated. If you are able to

a description of what you were doing at the time of the crash.

This crash appears to have occured in the 'c:\windows\syswow64\kernelbase.dll' module.

We don't quite know what causes the CLR plugin crashes currently -- it's been difficult to debug. Bad settings perhaps? I unfortunately can't dedicate time to those plugins at the moment because they'll eventually be deprecated
