Question / Help Clicking sound in headset, Mouse freezing

When running OBS for screen recording I get a loud, sharp clicking sound in my Logitech H800 headset. It does not come up when watching the recordings

Also, my mouse periodically freezes in place for a second or two every 10-15 seconds or so - not so good for gaming.

What are some steps I might take to resolve these issues during recording? The recordings themselves look SO good.

This software seems awesome and I can't wait to be able to use it! Thanks in advance

Edit: The clicking sound only happens when there is sound being played on the computer

Can't do much about the headset sound issue, that's usually a driver or hardware issue (could try switching ports if it's a USB headset). The mouse thing is also very unusual, it also feels like a hardware issue of some sort. I realize that this happens only while streaming, but the problem is that streaming activates most of your system's devices while encoding and capturing, and all that on top of gaming as well, so this can happen if your computer has latent issues.

I can't say for 100% sure but based upon prior experience it just feels like hardware because this sort of stuff (especially the mouse issue) almost never really happens.

Swapping ports seems to have fixed the mouse issue. The computer is brand new - I'm not sure what I would need to do about the headset

Yea, I had a feeling. I hear about this sort of thing on occasion, and it always turns out to be hardware related.
