chromecast stream might not be able to be seen by OBS. try that part and see. the NGINX part already has a few how-tos, but it looks like to me that even if it worked, it wouldn't look good. restreaming something with different software wont always have the desired outcome.

The whole part is to capture the actually window browser stream, since i think OBS is not coded for capturing chromecast. But in therory OBS team could actually make that happen, am i right?

Today capturing a stream and restreaming it should not have any impact(1-3% bitrate loss)? if you have good hardware setup including wireless setup. Remember its local only and not out to the internet before later.

of course, LAN has to be 1gbit at least and a N wireless connection at least, since you are buffering the video twice over the same network?

I would not do wireless, I would stick with wired as wireless will typically and occasionally prioritize other traffic which will cause the stream to buffer.

either way, yes, OBS can capture a browser or a window. frames might not line up which might cause tearing. professional video, when rebroadcasting has extensive frame syncing hardware similar to the s400 module for AMDs firepro cards.

TL;DR try it and see.

do parts at a time and see what works and what doesn't then combine once you get the difference pieces working. NGINX will be a little bit to setup but not impossible as there are some guides on in the resources section of OBSforums.
