Question / Help Choppy Video

I'm getting very choppy video recordings and streams. I've set frame rate (20 to 30 frames) and bitrate (1200 to 3500) all up and down the spectrum. Always getting choppy video. I have 2 setups, one while running an emulator, but a second with a single web cam only and get identical results each time.

Any input would be appreciated.

post your complete log after you attempt to stream then stop. I think on mac its under the help menu as well.
but you need to post your stuff here: https://obsproject.com/forum/list/mac-support.33/ since that is where you will get your best support. IMO. I would set your resolution lower to maybe the 540p range and fps at 30fps. bitrate maybe 2000. you might be able to do quicksync but I'm not sure if OBS studio supports that yet. it would take the load off your CPU if it does and you could run 720p @ 30fps.

streaming on a laptop CPU is going to produce questionable results 95% of the time. Your CPU supports quicksync video. I highly recommend enabling it if your laptop allows it, and stream using that. You will see much better results.
