Question / Help Cards that support simultaneous video capture?

Hey, all.

I currently use OBS with an AverMedia c027 card and am looking to upgrade to something a little more convenient for my own purposes (Capturing/streaming console games. 360, ps3, etc).

Here is my current setup:
Monitor 1: Fullscreen, entire AverMedia Center window. This entire monitor is captured by OBS.
Monitor 2: Literally everything else while streaming. It get s a bit cluttered and any activity on monitor 1 will show up on the stream.

I can't user the c027 to pipe the video output directly to OBS. What I want to know is if there's a card any of you use that supports the following:

Video output to a program (e.g., one that was included with it, like AverMedia Center, or otherwise)
Simultaneous video output piped directly as a source to OBS. I don't own a TV, and basically use my monitors for everything, and prefer to stay in-OS as opposed to input switching since I like the screen real-estate.

Also, the c027 (when run through AverMedia Center) has extremely low delay. It's only really noticeable in precise rhythm games. I'd hope an alternative would have comparable performance.

It's a problem I can't word in such a succinct way that searching google turns up totally unrelated stuff, and was hoping that any enthusiasts here could either share their success with a setup like that, or confirm that it's not possible and I'll just have to suck it up.

Thanks a whole lot!

I'm sorry, but what do you mean "pipe the video output directly to OBS"? If you mean that you want to have AVer Media Center and OBS capturing at the same time, that can't be done. There is not a single capture card in existence that can have the same device captured twice without something like ManyCam (google it) distributing the video to several virtual DirectShow devices.

The C027 works perfectly fine when added directly in OBS, if you're having trouble using it in OBS without AVer Media Center running at the same time, most likely you've set something up wrong. If this is the case, please post a log. Read this post if you don't know how/where to find your logs: https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/problem-make-sure-to-post-a-log-and-or-crash-dump-howto.97/

I want to say it's not "capturing" at the same time, but I get the feeling that it is.

For example, if I just have AverMedia Center running (and viewing the output of the card, not necessarily writing to a file), that's considered (at a hardware level) as a "capture", correct?

If so, then what I want is basically impossible. I'll either google c027 problems with OBS or post logs.

Edit: By "pipe the output directly to OBS" I mean add the capture card's output as a video source. Not capturing a window that has the output in it (e.g. AverMedia center)
