Question / Help Capturing RECentral/Hiding Soruces on Preview

Is there a way to actually capture RECentral's display? It's super fussy. Game Capture, Window Capture, and Monitor Capture all fail. Monitor works but gives me 30fps (I stream at 720p60fps), and if Aero is disabled the window vanishes.

The reason I'm asking is because I don't actually have a second display to output my PS3's video, so I've always used OBS' full-screen preview mode to play my PS3, even when streaming. However I want to add other captures, like webcam, to my stream but I'll also see them during my fullscreen preview mode thing. Is there any way to either A.) hide the other sources only on my preview end but have them show up on the stream or B.) Actually bloody capture the infuriating nonsense that is AverMedia's RECentral?

Actually I get what you're saying now, since avermedia device can't be opened by more than one program. There is no way to do what you want to do with only one monitor.

Damn, so there is no way in fact to capture Avermedia's RECentral? Ah well, thanks for saving me effort at the very least.

You could try window capture with Aero on. Run windows media player a bunch of times and play some movies, then run reccentral and try capturing it. WMP will hopefully exhaust the hardware overlays so reccentral will fallback to software (and able to be captured).
