Question / Help Capturing audio in a DAW

I wanted to stream something the other day in Sonar X3, but for some reason OBS wasn't capturing any audio. I tried a bunch of settings in OBS and in Sonar, but nothing seemed to work. I'm using a Komplete Audio 6 interface, which most likely uses an ASIO driver, so could that be the problem?

Yep. ASIO is designed for low latency and will not allow any other software to access the audio interface.
Route everything you need (inc your mic) through your DAW, then go from master out on your Komplete 6 to the line in (onboard soundcard) and then select the onboard soundcard line in as your AUX input in OBS. Thats it. You may get a delay issue, that can be fixed in OBS later to sync up your webcam/capture mode with the audio.
