Question / Help CAPTURE DEVICE NOT SHOWING IN SOURCES

I recently purchased and elgato hd60 and when I try to use OBS with it connected it doesn't have an option to select it as my source what do I do?
 
Anyone have any suggestions what to do? When I run elgato game capture I can see my preview fine. But when I close that and open obs, try to select scene and then select source I don't have an option to select my elgato hd60? I tried video capture device and global sources? I'm new to all this so I don't really know what I'm doing.

I was thinking maybe I should delete my obs and reinstall? I've been trying for hours to figure out why it's not showing up. I didn't realize it was already on my laptop and earlier this week I downloaded the beta version that's available on the site also? Could that be why? I've had a few friends who regularly use OBS and elgato take a look and they can't seem to find out the issue either.
 
It's still not showing up. I've gone through every forum and every tutorial video I could find. Why is it not showing up?? I have everything connected correctly.
 
Try starting the game capture first and then opening the OBS. that's how it worked for me. If that doesnt work, yes, i would recommend you reinstalling the app
