Question / Help Capture card for PC to PC

So my father moved into a new apartment, and said the old tenant left a PC behind...I went to go check it out and its a Intel i-7 and has 8Gb of RAM. So i want to use this as my second PC dedicated to streaming to relieve some stress from my Gaming PC(better specs).

What Capture card do you guys recommend? and is it compatible with OBS?

Any tips before i attempt this?

I cannot recommend a single card because I do not use one, but from what I've heard, the ones with either USB 3.0 OR PCIE cards are much better than USB 2.0 capture cards. gl!

What do you mean 3.0 ? I have one of those slots in my Gaming PC, how does the game get to the stream pc without a capture card?

some of the "capture cards" are usb 3.0 is what i meant. AndehX suggested a good one for you

yeah the H727 is perfect quality. Its down to whatever bitrate you stream at really.

When streaming with a 2 PC setup.... can i still game on my gaming pc (with my 2 monitors)? or do i play the game from my stream pc's desk?

game PC: desk with 2 monitors
Stream PC: different desk(side by side), 1 monitor

I can't seem to find anywhere that sells the Avermedia H727 o.o ..... could you link me to a site?

just as a heads up, H727 only support 720p/1080i input according to avermedias own specs.

Looking at the H727 on amazon.co.uk it goes for around £85.
The C985 (Live Gamer HD) sells for ~£120 and it supports 1080p30 capture and 1080p60 pass-through.
