So a week ago or so I was having problems getting my sound to work on my decklink mini recorder, Forum helped out and I was good....

Now however, when I run OBS, The video configuration sets the format to NTSC - 8 Bit 4:2:2 YUV and no matter what I do, using Apply and OK buttons, Restarting OBS... etc, the only way It will save the configuration to what I want it if I uninstall then Reinstall. Then and only then Will it work and save my video format (720P 59.94 FPS). and It doesn't stop there... This only works for the first isntance of OBS... It crashes... I have to uninstall... I close It, I have to uninstall...

slightly before this started happening, I started getting this Error upon Streaming/recording/preview and to be honest its confusing me because I made no installations or uninstalls at the time to prompt it...

heres a log but I really don't know if it will help, but i'll post it anyways

Blackmagic typically need to be configured in the blackmagic application first, and then after that you can open OBS and it should update the configuration. It's really weird and I don't understand why that is, but that seems to be how it is.

I have the default video standard as 720p 59.94 in the blackmagic application, and input selected.. bla bla everything else. but still nothing...

I've had it save before, it worked fine without problem for a few days. but something must have changed since then without me noticing it. Sorry I really can't explain more what it is, but I'm really clueless

So it's not working in blackmagic's program either is what you're saying?

I decided to Re install my Windows 7 because I was having several other problems with programs, its no longer a problem for me really. but If you are still curious...

It was set to the correct format in blackmagic program when I run it standalone, but when I go into video capture device properties in OBS and go to configure the Decklink Video Capture, the window wouldn't update the video format, if I hit apply, OK or whatever I do.

The First picture is the window I am referring to, under the video format tab, It just wouldn't update...

Like I said, its not a big deal for me anymore... so pursue as you wish

That part does not seem to update, but it doesn't seem to be important either -- set that part and just press OK and ignore the fact that it doesn't, and instead run the blackmagic program first before running OBS and just make sure you're getting video from the device. Once you are getting video in blacmagic's program, then, check to see what resolution/FPS it's set to, then exit. After that, go in to OBS, select "Decklink capture device" and use that instead of the WDM one. Then you may have to select the exact resolution/fps it was set to in the decklink program manually (in the device properties, not in the configure button thing), then select the decklink audio on the right, then try again.
