Question / Help Can't use my AverMedia Live Gamer Pro on OBS

I have followed every rule and every tip posted on every forum about getting the LGP to work on OBS, and I'm still having issues. What happens? No matter what I do, on OBS the "feed from my game" only appears black. Take into account that I already have:
-OBS on it's 32 bit version.
-My LGP hooked up correctly (HDMI and AV into PS3, HDMI into TV, USB into computer).
-OBS up and running properly (I can directly stream PC games).
-The latest firmware and drivers for my LGP.
-Seen my computer properly pick up video from the LGP via the RECentral.
-The LGP Stream Engine on my dropdown list of video feeds and game captures (I have tried both).
-My Stream Engine configured properly as well as the settings in OBS.
Despite all of this, when I try to preview/stream on OBS, my camera feed is picked up, but the game feed remains black. Any help? I've tried to work around it by pulling up a window of the (actually functional) RECenter preview screen and just streaming that window, but it freezes on a glitched out frame. Please help me put good use to my $180 product.

The PS3 puts HDCP on everything. Unless you use a connection type that isn't capable of transmitting the copy protection (component with an adapter/splitter usually) or use some type of HDCP stripper (or a splitter that also happens to strip HDCP in the process) I don't think you're going to get much out of the LGP.

I read into it, and that all looks pretty in depth. Does HDCP work with component?? If not I could use that as a workaround, but I would need to buy Component cables...

Keep in mind, if you want to use HDMI, there are also some very good HDMI splitters which also 'mistakenly' strip HDCP from HDMI signals. They're relatively cheap on Amazon and work wonders, with no delay in video/audio signal.

Component video is not digital therefore does not have HDCP.

As said those cheap 1x2 HDMI splitters remove HDCP and work perfectly...
