Can't stop recording

Suddenly today an issue came about with OBS not being able to stop recording.

I was using it with the same settings for more than 4 months, all good. Suddenly today when I record a game (Apex) or any full-screen application I can't stop the video, have to force OBS through task manager, and video is lost.

There are no error messages no nothing. I can kinda pause recording (OBS displays a pause) yet when I unpause it OBS displays a double pause in the bottom line where the timer is.

Did reinstall, choose different settings, formats, still all the same.

Please help...

Thanks to the comments from https://obsproject.com/forum/thread...me-without-restart-of-obs.140589/#post-534716 I found a workaround - switched encoding from x265 AMD to x264. Not ideal yet it does the trick, the program works again. I guess the latest Radeon software update caused the issues as I did update yesterday.

Yep, I've ran into the same issue recently with the new AMD updates
