Question / Help Can't start my stream

I have the same problem and I'm pretty sure I pasted my key correctly. Could the problem be that I have xSplit installed? I tried logging out and closing xSplit before starting the stream but I got the same result.

i am currently getting the exact same problem with that particular error message and i know a few other twitchers are is this only with twitch cos they may be having issues?

In different post someone said it was Twitch in general and that they disabled posts for the problem. How long has this been happening for you? I just downloaded the program this week so I'm not sure how long this has been going on.

no more than a week so its pretty new but its widespread sorry if this isnt supposed to be discussed here anymore i just thought it odd is all, the fact that so many of us are experiencing the same issue its frustrating. :)

This is a problem with Twitch's servers. I believe there is an event this weekend so their servers are being overloaded. You can keep trying to connect but until the servers are back to normal, you may not be able to stream.

I meant they disabled the posts on the twitch forums.

Are you sure about their servers being overloaded? I don't notice any unusually high traffic on the site.

There's a broadcast with over 100,000 viewers, WCS from Europe. That is unusual traffic and probably the cause of the overload.

It's not our servers, many people are able to broadcast fine atm. Also, we had 240,000 viewers 12 hours ago and saw no reports of people being unable to broadcast.

Message me on skype if you're still seeing this, and I'll look further into your channel.

Did you make sure you copied the stream key correctly, not including the spaces surrounding the key?

I don't know if this thread is dead but I have had the same issue now and then the closest days..

I have tried with resetting my key 3 times (with copy pasting it to my obs) and nothing is working.
Last time I had this problem a few days ago it started work again after a while,
but now nothing is working what so ever..

Any chance you can look in what causes this problem to people?

Twitch is causing this issue. If you have confirmed the key, resetted it and made sure it's 100% accurate and still it's not working... then it's Twitch, not OBS.

Twitch has been having major issues for quite a while now, nothing we can do about that except for ... hoping they'll manage to fix those issues.
