"Can't Read" Error for Installation Wizard

My work gave me a new computer and I lost OBS. I get the following "can't write" message from the installation wizard when trying to install after the download of the current version:

Output folder: C:\Program Files\obs-studio
Output folder: C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data
Output folder: C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\libobs
Can't write: C:\Program Files\obs-studio\data\libobs\area.effect

I've deleted the older OBS .exe file I found on my computer, but that had no effect. I have no clue what to do now. Thanks in advance.

Does your company have regulations on computer usage? It is not uncommon that employees are prohibited to install any software themselves. This might be enforced by having a Windows security policy not allowing your user (group) write access to the C:\Program Files folder. So if you are entitled to install OBS Studio, or you need it to do your job, I'd check with your company's IT Helpdesk. If such restrictions do apply and you have a strong case that you need it for your job, maybe the helpdesk crew can install it for you.
