Question / Help Can't hear PS4 Audio - Elgato

Right, I've tried searching for another thread about this, and have struggled to find any with an answer.

Basically, I'm using Elgato via OBS to record my PS4 gameplay. Everything is synced up beautifully, but I can't hear the game audio whilst I'm recording in OBS. The audio is there in the final recording, so it is obviously being picked up, but during the actual recording process I can't hear it.

I'm not sure what settings you'd need to know about here, so I'll just leave off here, and then post whatever people need.

Anyone have any clue what I can do?

Most people use some sort of splitter to hear audio since that wont be delayed but in OBS double click on the source you made for the Elgato and I think there are some audio options on the bottom right.
 
PS4 audio is a bit tricky, your best bet is to use the headset from your controller, it should still go to the elgato and stream as well. If you listen to the audio going into your stream it will be anywhere from 2 to 3 seconds behind. Also if you are listening to the stream you will get doubled audio, sorta like an echo effect. As OBS will pick up your desktop audio.

That sounds like a good idea. I'll try that. Thanks for the help.
