Question / Help Can't get Fahrenheit Indigo Prophecy remastered to work properly w/ OBS

Simply put, I'm having a difficult time trying to livestream this game via steam because it's not working properly. Last time I tried, the capture completely froze in the menu when I clicked on new game and was already in the game. Has anyone found a solution to this?

So, I've been doing it wrong this whole time *facepalm*...I'll see if that works tonight, thanks for the tip. I'll get back to you on this subject if it still doesn't work out.

ok so delete all your game capture sources from your scene and remake 1 for your game.
Typically you make one scene per game and setup global sources for webcam and overlays etc.
So, I decided to fiddle around w/ it sooner than I anticipated and alas, it still will not work w/ OBS. Every time I try to boot up the game w/ OBS running, it gives me a Hardware error message stating "You need a directx9.0c or higher compliant video card to run this program. This program will now close." End quote. I'm on a friken GTX 780Ti video card, there's no way it's that out of date -_-. I did however take it up w/ the devs themselves via support about this issue first, but they referred me to here because they don't know. The game DOES run just fine w/o OBS running, but I want to stream it gosh darn it. Any other ideas?

Okay, but my system isn't missing any directx components...this game has history of giving call stack error messages like that when they're really false. I stream every other game just fine, the devs even told me the game isn't optimized for third party software, but I have seen people stream it before, so I know it's doable.

If your game have multiple modes to run in DX9 DX11 or even Open GL, try one of the other modes see what happens.

You can also try OBS's anticheat hook in the game capture properties.
