Question / Help Can't get analog audio through obs with elgato on Xbox One

Okay so I've been scratching my head about this for months and with the new call of duty right around the corner, I need to get this figured out for my live stream. So I have an elgato set up to run on my stream with my facecam and an external mic. EVERYTHING runs fine. I have the same setup with my turtle beaches as in this website https://help.elgato.com/customer/po...one-with-the-stereo-headset-adapter-?b_id=360 . The only problem is that I just can't get analog audio for the life of me on from my xbox one. When I record on just the elgato, it works PERFECTLY, but when I try to do it on obs, IT JUST WON'T WORK! I have all the settings set up perfectly. I have all the settings perfect in the configure part of the video capture device. I just couldn't figure out what was wrong. Finally I found a video on how to do this through the ps3 which I don't have (xbox one). Upon inspection of his configure settings of the elgato on the obs software, I discovered that he had an checkbox for analog audio on his ps3 and I didn't have that same option for my xbox one. Is this the problem? Is it just impossible for me to get analog audio then? How do I go about fixing this?

why analog? why not use the digital audio from the hdmi? I think the PS defaults to it since isn't that how audio is getting to your TV as well?

No it doesn't. That's why I had to buy all the wires as shown in the website from the original post. This is because the voice chat gets sent through the controller to your headphones and back to your controller again. Like I said, there is an option in the elgato software for analog audio but in obs there isn't such a setting for the Xbox one, but there is for the ps3

same issue, seems like nobody wants to answer these threads
@macguyversa that is because you shouldn't necro year old threads but instead start a new one. I believe it has been solved but cant recall what the fix was back then. I would seek support for elgato instead of waiting on a reply here TBH.

Macguyversa,

I just found this thread because I have been encountering similar issues with my stream and I feel as if I have exhausted all avenues. What I discovered was you can get party chat to come through your stream if you go into the settings in your xbox and do the following:

Display & Sound>Volume>Party chat output>Select headset & speakers

This has made it so I can hear party chat in my a40s as well as being picked up in my stream. The issue I cannot resolve is game chat coming through my stream. If you find any helpful info, I would love to discuss. Hopefully this post can be helpful even though I am very late to the party.
