Question / Help Can't capture audio from headphones/mic.

Hi all... I'm probably missing something simple, but have tried all sorts of settings without luck.

Basically trying to record a "File Output" of either a "Game Capture" or "Windows Capture" source and no sound is being recorded. I'm using Windows 7 (64bit), OBS (64bit) and only use a headset (with mic) plugged in via USB for all my audio. The following are some screenshots of my settings:

OBS Audio Settings

What do I need to do in order to enable sound recording with my video capture?

Thanks in advance

Hmm, did you get any visual feedback from OBS that it should have recorded the sound:

In this example I used the Microphone and the green bar shows the input. Now if you get this visual feedback normally for both your desktop and microphone, the recording should also have sound. Which Media Player did you use to check the Video?
I would recommend to try it in VLC if you used WMP for example, see if VLC can playback the audio. If nothing helps, show us a log file please:

Ok, it looks like the issue is with the media player (Windows Media Player) I was using to check with. Several of my tests had the OBS "green bars" when recording, but WMP didn't play the audio. Just d/l VLC and one of my tests had sound, so I should be good from here.

Thanks for checking/confirming Jack0R.
