Bug Report Cannot upload videos from twitch to youtube using OBS

Hi.

I am having a weird problem with OBS and don't know if this is related to the OBS program or twitch. So everything works fine with OBS and am absolutely loving it. My problem is that I upload my videos to YouTube from the twitch archives after streaming. For some reason when I stream with OBS and then go to the videos section to upload them, they don't get uploaded, I don't see anything processing on my YouTube page. When I stream with Xsplit or FFsplit I can upload the streamed videos with no problem. I hope it makes sense on what I am saying , thanks.

Hi,

tried uploading and it works fine, try giving it more time or contacting twitch staff. The only problem I ever had with uploading vids from twitch to youtube was multiple google logins that I use, so I had to unlink and relink my youtube account on twitch, hope that helps.

Happy streaming.

So someone from twitch got back to me with this message.

Hello,

Thanks for the information. We appreciate it! We'll see if we can work with the guys at OBS to get this sorted out.

Best,

Jeh

Hope they contact you guys! :D

I've uploaded a clip from an OBS stream before, as did zGroze so I'm not entirely sure this is a bug with OBS

not entirely sure what the cause is.. twitch has not contacted me personally though as of yet. I'll let you know if they do.

i had tried to contact twitch as i am having the same issues. this is what they sent me,

"There is currently an issue in OBS' broadcasting software that timestamps incorrectly. I believe this is an issue that the developer is working on resolving."

Otherwise OBS is awesome.

Can someone link a VOD that doesn't upload? I can't seem to reproduce this here.

I also have this issue. I submitted a bug report with twitch about it a week ago, but haven't heard anything from them. I thought the problem was on their end, because I can download it and upload it to youtube myself just fine.

Anyway, here's a recent vod of mine that will not upload from twitch to youtube. http://www.twitch.tv/staretta/b/339492483

I'm having the same problem. Been using the 0.43a 64bit version. Didn't seem to have this problem before. Will try if it's fixed with the new version.

[EDIT] 0.432 Alpha didn't help

So I tried the latest test build 0.445a test 7 and I can upload videos now no problem but there is a new problem now. I streamed for 12 minutes and when I go to my video only 6 minutes are shown. So it looks like there is a huge delay.

EDIT: Actually when I am watching the stream it stops every 2 seconds or so and I am dropping frames non stop in obs. The video in the archives is fine tho but cut in half.

For me Test 7 seemed to work ok (not counting crashes when changing resolution or closing a game when using game capture source). Lost only some (~5) seconds at the end I think.

Upload worked good and no frame loss in game. Some stuttering can be seen in the VOD.

is that stuttering only on the youtube vod? or did you just have dropped frames?

Just tested 0.446a, i'm still unable to upload to youtube.com after streaming on twitch.tv. However, streaming on own3d.tv and uploading to youtube.com works fine. I don't know what the issue with twitch.tv is. Maybe they're secretly blocking OBS users because of an agreement with xsplit.

Regardless, I love OBS and will continute to help make it a better program.

Can't upload again. Test 10. Taken with Game Source Capture which makes the stuttering.

No idea if that helps.

[EDIT] dropped frames probably because tried a different preset.
