Question / Help Cannot seem to Stream properly

It looks like you can very well stream on 1.25 downscale with that bitrate. I skipped thorugh a few parts and it looked fluid with only minor pixelations. If you want to work on your FPS please check the lowest downscale again. Does it really give you the same fps count as 1.25 downscale? what about no downscale at all.

If the FPS stay the same, your only option would be to use a less stressing preset, superfast or ultrafast. but you will probably have to use more bitrate that way.

So I tested 1.25, and 2.00 again. And I don't notice a difference in quality to be honest, but I do notice a difference in the FPS. 1.25 was typically lower, but not by much for the most part. I don't really think I'll ever be using no downscale at all, it seems like 1.25 is pushing it at the moment.

1.25: http://www.twitch.tv/rantzr/b/406087996
2.00: http://www.twitch.tv/rantzr/b/406093780

My current bitrate is 2500, should I start increasing it for 2.00, or 1.25 streams? Also under the video settings my FPS is set to 25, is that a good setting?

Edit: Is it possible to upload my streams to YouTube, and if so how would I be able to do so?

30fps is a good frame rate...25 is good if you're having performance problems and need to spare some CPU.

You can connect to your YouTube account from Twitch and upload them directly. Click the gear icon underneath one of your VODs to see and Upload to YouTube option.

As for downscale, do whatever you think looks best.

Probably 25fps then. Had no clue about the direct upload, but apparently all my videos I had on Twitch are now all gone so I'll have to mess with that later. And okay, I guess for now I'll stick with 840x524 since it seems to run smooth over all, on most games.

Twitch deletes your videos after 48 hours, I think, if you don't save them explicitly after you finish streaming.

Is there a way to save them? Or just upload it to YT?

Having a serious issue now... I have two mics, both of which are not working for the stream for some reason, but have in the past. In the past streams my mics were also very low for some reason. Streaming at the moment as well and cannot find a solution for this. Help please?

In what way are they not working? Have you verified that they are selected in the Audio settings of OBS, and your Mic is not muted in OBS, and the Levels of the mics in the mic properties are not too low? When you talk into them, do you see the activity monitor go up under the OBS mic volume go up and down?

I thought all the settings were correct but to be honest I'm not too sure. I did not see my mic activity monitor volume go up or down at all, but my co-host was hearing me perfectly fine over Skype. I'm pretty sure my mic wasn't muted in OBS, not even sure how to mute thou.

You click the mic icon to mute or unmute the mic. Same with Desktop sounds with the speaker icon.

Whenever you start up OBS and do a stream, a log is created in that log directory.

Open OBS, stream for a bit, close OBS, and post the latest log from the log directory.
