Question / Help Cannot record with NVENC

For some reason, the last topic I created minutes ago got deleted (perhaps because I tried to edit it?)

Hello, been using OBS classic to record game sessions for a while. At some point, it stopped working.
When I try to record with NVENC (preferred), the output file has no time and no frames.
Tried to use x264: A short 5 minute video works fine, but a longer 1.5 hour session produces a corrupted output file.

System details:

Windows 7 Home Premium
i5-3570k
16 GB RAM
Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD
2TB HDD

I'm guessing the issue lies with

00:35:52: nvEncEncodePicture failed with error 0xf
00:35:52: No unlocked frame found

Verified that the Game Capture settings are correct, using the correct video adapter and recording on monitor 1 (primary monitor, I'm running a dual monitor setup).
Max bitrate in this session is set to 30000. I've been able to record at 40000 in the past with no issues.

What steps should I take to remedy this problem? Thanks

Please update to OBS Studio. It's more advanced in every aspect. OBS Classic isn't developed nor supported any more.

Updating to Windows 10 will also help compatibility and stability.

Just made the switch, everything works so far. Thank you!

(In the past I tried OBS Studio, but it would crash all the time. That's why I was using classic for such a long time.)
