If I want to briefly show an image on the screen while in game, the best way to accomplish this would be to toggle the source while in game with a hotkey. Is this possible?

Setup multiple scenes and switch those; those can be hotkey'd.

This wont work exactly as I want it if I am correct. I would need this to be seamless and not fade in/out as I believe OBS does automatically?

You could add the other sources as global, so only the picture would fade in, but dont forget to switch back to the original scene afterwards. (OBS-MP will probably have more options available in the future)
