Can you choose your primary monitor?

I'm having the issue where nearly every time I start my computer display 1 changes from one monitor to another. So when recording display capture I need to keep editing which screen to stream. So my question, is there a way to select your (Primary Monitor) instead because my (Primary Monitor) is always the correct screen?

I'm not aware of this possibility, but I don't use display capturing. Hopefully someone can prove me wrong on this.

Another line of thought might me to set your primary display to the correct one more easily, something like How to change primary display with a shortcut on Windows 10 or Switching Primary Monitor Using Command Line (even on Vista with SLI enabled). Did not try or test these commands/scripts/tools myself, but hopefully this will point you to a second best solution.

Unfortunately there is not. OBS runs off the monitor numbers assigned by Windows, and capture is determined by monitor number.
It'd probably be better to figure out why Windows is changing the monitor numbers, and address the root of the problem itself.
