I have been searching all day to fix this issue I have.
I'm new to OBS, downloaded it today, and successfully linked it to my new Twitch account. However, when I try to stream League of Legends, I have a black screen, although audio can still be heard.
I have discovered the reason for this is that I am on a laptop, which probably has two graphic cards, and OBS is apparently picking up a graphics card that is different from the one League runs on. I looked up how to fix this, and I found many tutorials for computers with nvidia, however, my laptop has an AMD Radeon HD 7640g graphics card.
So I looked up how to make programs switch graphic cards to AMD, and the only way I found was to right click on the desktop and click on Configure Switchable Graphics. I don't have this option when I right click, so I downloaded the latest driver for my graphics card, which came with an AMD Catalyst I can access by right clicking on my desktop. I don't know if that would help, but I looked all over the options in the Catalyst and nothing about configuring graphics was in there.
The video adapter listed in the OBS program is the AMD Radeon graphics card, so does that mean that League of Legends is not running on that graphics card?
Additionally, there has been no mention in my computer whether or not I actually have two graphics cards. For now, I'm going to assume I do, since it's pretty much standard these days. But when I check to see which graphics card I have, it only lists the AMD Radeon one.
My laptop is an HP Envy dv7-7223cl.
Please help. I don't know a lot about computers, and a lot of these terms are new to me, but I learned a lot today, and I hope that all my downloading and googling will not be in vain.
