Question / Help Can someone explain this log to me? 60fps issues.

It shouldn't but it's something you should be aware of. It's usually just a matter of temporarily switching server until the issue goes away on your main one.

Did you try disabling core parking?

Honestly I don't find shaperprobe's tests reliable. It's true that depending where your connections go changes your bandwidth, but it could be sending your connection to france and give you a really bad upload. That isn't representative of where you would actually send your connection for streaming. I would advise using speedtest and selecting a server near wherever the streaming server is, which there almost always is one due to twitch servers being in major cities.

Specifically you know exactly where you want to send your connection when using a Twitch server. Shaperprobe may provide a better overall picture of your upload bandwidth when sending connections anywhere in the world, but that isn't useful in this scenario.

I'm a little nervous to do something with core parking, or setting the processor affinity, stuff like that. Won't it impact game performance and reduce the life of my i5 2500k? I'm already overclocked to 4.0ghz.

I just used the program to disable core parking, and WOW, what a difference I see just using Windows. I'll have to test it during gaming and see if it makes a difference.

Coreparking doesn't have anything to do with stability or life expectancy. If anything it would negatively impact your power efficiency by making your system more responsive. It's a Windows only power saving feature...

Thanks for the input as well, I'd appreciate if you posted about your experience in the core parking thread in the suggestions forum. I'm trying to gather data on it as it seems to be a overlooked issue and not well understood feature present in Windows (7 and 8 as well as server editions).

Once again, I am having Memory Leak issues and stream disconnects/buffer full. What is going on? Nothing has changed on my end and my internet isn't unreliable. It disconnected right at the end while we killed a boss and broke the footage up into a 50+ minute video and then a 2 minute video. :?

It may be a reattack of the random stream disconnect bug, a few others and I used to get. I don't know why you'd be getting a buffer full, but it only happens a couple times. You could try increasing your buffer size and that may elevate those. It may pertain to your quality setting in some high action scenes too.

I'm unable to view the twitch.tv link to see what your streaming (At college) so it would be nice if someone could let me know, I had problems with the buffer a lot, i mean i use to get servers disconnects high ping the lot. I was only streaming at 2000kbps with a 3mb/s upload, and Sharperprobe was telling me that i was getting my full upload. So i was lost at this point but what fixed my problem is by only using 1/4 e.g. i now use 2300kbps as max bitrate with 575kbps buffer, 1/4 of my max bitrate. Now i know some people may say i'm doing this all wrong but this is what fixed my issue and now i can go back to 1080p 30fps just fine. :)

Thank you for the replies. I apologize if I seemed a little frustrated. I really love this program but will be unable to use it if it keeps on disconnecting me for no reason. :( I've tried multiple settings and both VA servers and I'm still getting the issue. It seemed to creep up randomly, so I'm not sure what to do at this point. It's definitely not my network.

Xaraa

Well if you say that's its not your own network having the problems, then maybe contact Twitch.TV about a server problem your having ? This just something that came to my head.

I tried the latest build and it seemed to cure my issue for the time being.

Twitch doesn't seem to care about streamers unless they're partners pulling in thousands of viewers every cast.

As you can see, I'm still getting the disconnect issues. I really don't know what to do.

Memory Leaks Were Detected.

I get no lag in game and no FPS issues. My network is solid. Oh well.

Curious... you try Allow negative CTS? It was added to fix the Twitch thumbnail issue. I haven't streamed in a month so I don't know if the thumbnail issue was fixed, it was supposed to be in January.

I just tried streaming with XSplit/FFSplit and I'm getting the same issue. I really have a hard time believing it's on my end, though. I've gone through so much trouble shooting to ensure that it isn't. Is my Netgear WNDR3700 router bad or something?

would negative CTS cure the disconnect issue?

I'm really thinking about taking the router back for a refund. The firmware is shit and impossible to navigate. I was going to get an Asus RT-N66U but decided on the Netgear to save money.

you're buffering too much to a close server. put your settings back to where you expect them to run properly now run the twitch/justin.tv ping tool you need to pick the server with the worse ping time but not above 600ms

I'm unsure as to why a large buffer would matter. Buffering has little to do with ping... it would just mean the stream would take longer to initially get to the server. A 3000 bit rate and buffer isn't too high.

As far as ping goes, I use Xsplit to determine the best server by using their very well made built in tool, then I use those settings in OBS. You want low ping AND low jitter. High jitter is bad. It looks as though the JTVping tool is the same thing that is built into Xsplit from a Google, neat.

If you're getting the same issue with other streaming software it probably doesn't have anything to do with your client, rather your connection to the server

If you think it's your router you could try using DDWRT on it, if it has a compatible version.

you think that a send window of 400384 bytes is optimal for a low latency connection under 100 ms with a maximum of 10mbps bandwith ? it takes ages for obs to fill that buffer as to what the server expects to receive the next buffer. large buffers are really bad for small latency tcp connections and there is no way of getting around it.

max bitrate: 3000
buffer size: 3000

I'm unsure, but it seems as though you're trying to confuse me by changing kilobits to bytes as a traditional buffers size is in kilobits per second... 3000 or 4000 isn't too high for a bit rate of 3000. I use a buffer of 5000 with a bit rate of 3100. A large buffer isn't actually bad and will generally allow you to stream a more consistent stream, since bit rate is variable (unless you have CBR selected).

Most stream providers don't allow you to use large buffers though. Good blog on it here:

https://www.xsplit.com/blog.php?post_id=305

All a larger buffer would do is increase the amount of time it takes for content to get to a provider like twitch. People can't tell the difference as they have no way of knowing how long it takes for your stream to get to twitch beyond how long it takes for you to respond to chat.

"Really bad" isn't a very descriptive way of saying why it's bad.
