Question / Help Can OBS receive an rtmp or udp stream as a source?

I use linux as my daily driver, xubuntu 13.10 to be exact. I really like OBS's ability for scenes and overlays which is something missing from my current linux streaming software (simplescreenrecorder). I have another capable machine in my home running windows 7, would it be possible for OBS running on the windows 7 machine to accept an rtmp OR udp stream or whatever type of stream that would work so that I could play my game in linux, send the stream over to OBS so that i could then control what I send to hitbox or twitch which would of course have an overlay facecam and what not? That would be awesome, please let me know. Thanks

I can't use windows...I want to use a udp stream as a source. Because I have the PVR 2 and i can't use the video capture source on mac. I want to use the HDPVRCapture software to send the gameplay directly on OBS, without using the screen capture.(too much lag).

Use the media source option which can basically access anything ffmpeg can.

And don't thread hijack stuff from last year.
