same thing installed all the windows updates optional no driver updates for graphics and installed the direct x program still nothing

We'll need extended input about this issue from a diagnosis tool such as directx caps viewer in that case.

Run that, select "DXGI devices" and then "File>Print subtree to file". Post the log file that it will create in your desktop.

i assume this program is already on my pc right? because nothing comes up when i type in the program name and i can't seem to find a dl link for it. how do i open the program can't seem to find it

Yeah no... i shouldn't have to do that i just need to know where to open the cap viewer. im thinking this is a obs issue because i tried using Evolve,Shadowplay etc n they work fine they just lack the customization options obs has.

Can like a dev help me or something these other program are rlly annoying... shadowplay stops broadcasting every time i minimize and has no customization same with evolve I just want to get back to building my streaming career

Well, something is clearly broken with your system. OBS does some very different things from most other capture and recording programs and relies on certain Windows components that other software might not. A fresh install of Windows often fixes lots of random issues like this, and is way easier/less frustrating than the stuff hilalpro has been asking you to do.

RTeinstalling windows ia a pita you have to back up files etc. what if i reinstall windows and i still get this bs error

Hey, so I was using OBS fine then one day my PC just KO'd on me so I reinstalled windows and then BOOM OBS doesn't work and it says the same problem you guys have just been discussing... Please say there's a solution. :'(
